These are some fantastic tips and I totally agree – reserving seats is key as well as baby wipes! We just came back from a train trip to London and did both – they were lifesavers

Ooh we haven’t ventured very far with the babies yet…the thought actually terrfies me at this stage. I don’t mind the car as they are strapped in and just have the noise to contend with (haha!) but I can totally see this brilliant list coming in handy one day! xx

Hi Gill, these are a practical and useful set of tips, thank you. I particularly liked your tip on trying to travel with a compact pram.

We’ve tended to prefer to drive so that music can drown out arguments and howls 😉
