Hello, thanks so much for the comment 🙂 Sounds awful – can’t believe they wouldn’t check you! Hope your second pregnancy is going well – I’ve just had our second baby and they decided not to induce me and it was so much better. Fingers crossed for a more positive experience for you x

I was induced via propess in 2013 with my first daughter, and it took 2 hours after having it inserted to go into complete agony. Back to back contractions with no breaks. Unfortunatly, my midwives refused to check me. They said that to do so would mean that they would have to restart the induction process, and that it was unlikely anything would have changed so soon. I was literally holding onto the bed rails to stay sane, I couldn’t talk, and my back felt like it was constantly on fire. It was about 14 hours after the pessary, and after sending my birth partner on an hour-long journey home, that they finally checked me. I was 8cm and baby was back to back. I ended up with a forceps delivery. I’m now pregnant again, and I sincerely doubt I will agree to an induction again! 🙂
