None of us were dressed, one of us happily refused to attempt it. We were, predictably, late for playgroup. And then there was a last-minute emergency baby nappy and entire outfit change just as we were […]

I love hearing things like this – thank you so much! Great tips. I bet you’ll be fine with three at playgroup, you seem so amazing with everything. Can’t wait to hear your news xx

I am starting to wonder whether I will be quite so keen when I have two toddlers and a newborn though! We struggled with anything too early, but a mixture of keeping the baby in whatever he happened to have slept in and breakfast on the go worked for us!

I’ve done the exact same thing when we finally made it there only to find the place completely empty – this play group was only every other week apparently. I, too, could have cried. In fact, I’m sure there was one day a few months back when I had to abandon yet another attempt to get out and I did sit and cry on the living room floor for a few minutes! So far I’ve also wimped out of attempting to do public transport with two so only get to go to the best groups on days I can have the car. Miraculously, this morning we did manage to get to Musical Friends (lots of singing and jumping around, in the company of a monkey…) and arrive five minutes BEFORE THE START! This is unheralded. Otherwise, the park just ten mins walk down the road from us has become my most fool-proof outing.
