So although I had my preferences for pain relief and the placenta injection etc, i didn’t bother writing it. My hubby told them and I told them with P2. Now, I’ve noticed there’s a page in my hospital notes for preferences which I’ll fill just in case something bad happens.

The third birth was supposed to be completely controlled by midwives & doctors as they wanted to induce with drip and so on, but it never happened. I ended up waking up contractions on the day I was supposed to be induced so I just got the pessary & waters broken but ended up following my own birth plan with mobile monitor, just g&a and that sort of thing. Even down to delayed cord clamping. I do think I was really lucky to have what I wanted three times!
All three arrived after having a very long shopping trip!

So glad you are being ‘allowed’ to go into labour naturally. That will make a difference I’m sure :). Keep well.

(why laminated? I am not too sure what he was expecting the birth scene to be like…)

I actually had a birth that went just how my plan mentioned – not really a plan just a set of bullet points so maybe that was only because there wasn’t much to follow?!
